NMDC, state owned miner and sponge iron manufacturer based in Hyderabad has invited bids from interested parties registered with IBM for its 30,500 metric tons of iron ore fines lying at its plant under “As is Where is” condition.
Out of which 18,500 is low grade fines of 37% Fe and 12,000 tons is high grade with a tentative grade of 63-64% Fe. Last date of tender is 8th April 2013.
Current offers from private miners are hovering around Rs 1,800-2,000/t (Ex-Mines Odisha, Incld Royalty) for 63% Fe, where as NMDC is offering 63% Fe at Rs 2,600/t (Excluding Royalty).
