NMDC, the state controlled miner has cut iron ore lump prices by INR 100-120/MT, ROM prices by INR 80/MT and raised fines prices by INR 100/MT for Nov’15 deliveries.

NMDC iron ore production up by 42% in Oct’15
Iron ore production of NMDC increased by 42% M-o-M and stood at 2.63 MnT in Oct’15. Iron ore sales rose by 46% M-o-M to 2.69 MnT in Oct’15. Since Apr’15, NMDC iron ore production and sales have been recorded at 15 MnT and 15.8 MnT respectively.
Iron ore purchases of state based sponge iron plants from NMDC Bailadila mines have remained stagnant in Oct’15. Significant increase in iron ore procurement from NMDC of RINL (up by 72% M-o-M) and JSW Steel, Dolvi (up by 90% M-o-M) was recorded last month.
