Nippon Steel announced on 26 Apr’22 that it will conduct a joint research with mining major Vale on the use of raw materials for steelmaking in order to realise the goal of carbon-neutral steel production. With the cooperation of Vale, a major supplier of iron ore, Nippon will study how to utilise steel raw materials so as to attain carbon neutrality.
