60,000 tons of Pig Iron has been offered by NINL to international buyers through an exports tender today.
Price bids of the tender (in 2 lots of 30,000 tons each) will be opened on the 21st at 14:30 hours.
Sources told SteelMint, “The second lot of 30,000 tons of material is an optional one, provided a couple of similar bids are received.
The company has set a target to sell out 60,000 tons of the material through exports tender.
Overseas Pig iron takers might be interested to make some imports.
Rise in scrap prices by $10-15/MT in a fortnight and high Pig iron offers in international market, might support Pig iron exports from India”.
