Netherlands, one of the largest Pig iron importer has imported 33,143 MT Pig iron in Sept’16 according to trade statistics released by European Union Customs .
Netherlands Pig iron imports have registered a downfall of 25% M-o-M in Sept’16 against 44,285 MT in Aug’16. On similar lines, imports decreased by 31% Y-o-Y against 48,152 MT in Sept’15.
In the first nine months of 2016, the country’s imports were registered at 359,305 MT, down by 4% as compared to 374,144 MT in the same time period prior this year.
Country’s imports majority of Pig iron from Latvia, Russia, South Africa etc. In Sept’16, imports from Latvia was registered at 2,503 MT, Russia 25,077 MT, South Africa 5,002 MT.
