Nepal rebar prices declined by NPR 100/t ($1/t) w-o-w to NPR 72,500-74,500/t ($513-527/t) for cash guarantee sales and NPR 74,500-76,500/t ($527-541/t) for bank guarantee ones. The drop was attributed to weak demand due to the monsoon and the festive season, along with disruptions caused by the recent protests in Nepal. Wire rod (IF-EAF) offers were also heard lower, at $480/t CNF Raxaul.
