Mills in central India raise re-bar prices by up to INR 800/t

Raipur-based Goel TMT has raised re-bar (Fe-500D, 10-25 mm) prices by INR 800/t to INR 53,900/t exw, while GK TMT has hiked prices by INR 600/t to INR 53,700/t (excluding of GST and other charges). Improved demand and spot re-bar deals and increasing prices of semi-finished steel trigerred the hike. Although, sources believe, prices may not sustain considering the onset of monsoons in central India.
