Middle East: Emirates Steel forms joint venture with SNIM to set up pellet plant

Emirates Steel, the leading integrated steel plant in the Middle East has signed an 18-month agreement with Mauritania’s Societe Nationale Industrielle Et Miniere (SNIM) to create a joint venture company to produce iron oxide pellets and primary feedstock required for Direct Reduction steel plants. The companies have aligned their goals with UAE’s Industrial Strategy to enhance self-sufficiency.
