South Africa, one of the major exporter for pig iron has registered growth in exports about 20,000 MT (66%) M-o-M in May’17.
According to the South Africa customs, the nation has exported about 50,000 MT pig iron during May’17 against 30,000 MT in Apr’17.
Coming to total exports in 2017 (Jan-May) it registered at 189,300 MT, surge by 38.88 % against 136,300 MT in the same period during 2016.
Country Wise Importers: During May’17, the major importer of South African pig iron was United States at 15,374 MT following Turkey (8,939 MT), Japan (6,000 MT) & Taiwan at 5,500 MT.
