SteelMint’s benchmark sponge iron (P-DRI) prices fell further by INR 200/t to INR 27,000/t ($372), exw Raipur, Central India owing to weak demand along with falling billet prices due to dull trades ahead of festive holidays. A few deals have been reported by the participants at INR 27,000/t on exw & FoR basis for P-DRI. Similarly, limited bids for DR CLO grade sponge were reported against floated offers at INR 29,100-200/t exw. Sources expect domestic demand to remain dull in the coming days.
