Kyrgyzstan’s Cabinet of Ministers has imposed a six-month ban on ferrous scrap and steel ingots exports to support domestic processors and stabilise the raw material market. The measure follows Presidential Decree No. 375 dated 14 Nov’22 and replaces Resolution No. 554 issued on 3 Sep’25. The ban took effect in Feb’26 and will remain in force until Aug’26, with authorities instructed to tighten customs and border controls.
