Korea Southern Power Co Ltd (KOSPO) has invited bids to procure 160,000 t of 3800 kcal/kg grade of thermal coal, a tender notification showed. The bid closing date has been set on 20 July at 1300 KST (Korean Standard Time). The firm has also raised the purchase contract for the next three years wherein the quantity is set at 320,000 t each for 2023 and 2024 and companies offering Russian coal have been forbidden from bidding.
