Korea Southern Power Co Ltd (KOSPO) has invited a tender for purchase of 240,000 MT steam coal for Samcheok Green Power Plants, South Korea. Bidders are requested to offer the material in 3 lots of 80,000 MT each.
The shipment is scheduled in Apr’17 and the price terms shall be one single fixed number (USD) FOBT basis. Each shipment of the coal shall be supplied from a single mine with the annual production record of minimum 10 MnT.
The offer price will remain valid for 3 business days from the date of tender closing.
Specification
Total moisture (as received basis): 43% max
Fixed carbon (air dried basis): 60% max
Ash (air dried basis): 4.5% max
Net calorific value (as received basis): 3,700 kcal/kg min
Ash fusion temperature: 1,050°C
Upon request by KOSPO, bidder shall provide relevant supporting documents including certificates, issued by the relevant authorities of the exporting country, to demonstrate the legal status and current situation of the coal mine from which the coal would be supplied.

The due date for bid submission is 24 Mar’17 till 14:00 hrs.
