Government of Karnataka has cancelled the previously issued tender inviting bids for auction of 11’C’ category mines and grant lease for the same.
On 21 Dec’15, the DMG has notified that tender issued on 30 Nov’15, regarding the same will be cancelled. However, the potential bidders, who have already purchased the respective document on requisite price will be refunded with the same amount by MSTC.
As the government official has not come up with any solid reason for the cancellation uptill now, the allotment of Karnataka based ‘C’ category mines through auction is delayed. Furthermore, they will soon come up with the modified tender document.
On 30 Nov’15, the government had issued a tender and invited bids for grant of mining leases for 11 iron ore mines with different mining reserves. According to previous tender, only end users were eligible to participate in the tender process. Previous due date for the auction was 18 Jan’16, followed by opening and examination of technical bids. According to previous tender, on 29 Jan’16, final technical qualified bidders were about to announced.
