JSW Steel and JFE Steel have joined forces to establish India’s first grain-oriented electrical steel plant in Bellary, Karnataka. This $670 million JV, will produce both conventional and high-permeability electrical steel grades, crucial for energy-efficient transformers. Planned for full operation in 2027, the plant aims to meet India’s growing demand and contribute to the country’s energy infrastructure.
