The Ministry of Steel announced on 8 Feb’24 that products of ferro chrome, ferro and silico manganese, and ferro silicon (mentioned under HS codes in table below), will come under test certification bearing the standard mark of input material issued by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for all consignments. Some other steel products, too, have been included under QCO.
