Japan’s Steel Exports & Imports Up in May’16

According to Japan’s customs data, country’s steel exports and imports have increased by 13% and 9% respectively in May’16 against previous month.

If year on year comparison is done, country’s steel exports are up by 2.25% while, imports have remained unchanged in May’16 against May’15.

Japan’s steel exports are majorly directed towards Korea followed by China and Thailand. While country majorly import steel from Korea, Taiwan and China. The total quantity of country’s steel exports is 9.8 times higher than its imports during first five months of year 2016 (Jan-May).
