According to JMD, JFE Steel Corporation, one of the world’s leading integrated steel producers, has raised sale prices of chrome-based stainless steel thin plates by JPY 10,000/t ($88/t) for Q4CY’21. Price for high-carbon ferrochrome loaded spiked to $1.88 (net chromium), up by 15% q-o-q in Q4CY’21. This is the third time when the company has increased prices. In order to continue meeting customer quality requirements, the company has to ask for additional price increases, explained JFE Steel.
