Japanese Ferrous Scrap Export Up by 10%, M-o-M

Japanese Export Up by 10% M-o-M. In Jan’16 it was 634,082 MT which rose to 695,919 MT in Feb’17. Whereas if seen on a Y-o-Y basis it is has moved down 5%. Country exported 735,533 MT in Feb’16 and 695,919 MT in Feb’17.

Japan, the third largest exporter of ferrous scrap; exported around 8.55 MnT in CY’16.

The largest imported to Japanese Ferrous Scrap for Feb’17 continued to be Republic of Korea. Importing nearly 49% of the total Japanese export quantity. Followed by People’s Republic of China and Vietnam.
