Japan’s Tokyo Steel adjusted scrap procurement prices for the second time this month, effective 28 Jan’25 (previous revision was on 24 Jan’25). Prices declined at the Tahara, Nagoya, Okayama, and Takamatsu plants by JPY 500/t ($3/t). Post-revision, H2 prices were as follows:
- Okayama: JPY 41,000/t ($266/t)
- Tahara, Kansai, Kyushu: JPY 40,500/t ($263/t)
- Utsunomiya: JPY 40,000/t ($259/t)
- Takamatsu: JPY 39,500/t ($256/t)
- Nagoya: JPY 39,000/t ($253/t)
