Tokyo Steel, a leading Japanese mill, has opted to cut its prices for domestic ferrous scrap by JPY 500/t ($3/t), effective 8 Mar’24. As a result, the new price for H2 scrap at the Tahara, Okayama, and Utsunomiya plant is approximately JPY 52,500/t ($355/t). This adjustment is particularly significant as it marks the first price drop in March before the upcoming Kanto tender.
