Japan’s major electric arc furnace (EAF) steel producer, Tokyo Steel, has announced a roll over in carbon steel prices for the eighth consecutive month, sources informed SteelMint. Despite higher production costs, the steel major is taking time to let the market absorb previous hikes. Prices:
- HRC stands at JPY 110,000/t ($969/t)
- Rebar (D13-25) is at JPY 89,000 ($784/t)
