Japan: Tokyo Steel raises plate prices, rolls over carbon finished steel prices

Japan’s leading EAF steel mill, Tokyo Steel Manufacturing has announced a roll-over in carbon flat steel prices for Jul ’21 deliveries in order to absorb the previous hike in the spot market except for steel plates, as per latest reports. The company has raised plate prices by JPY 5,000/t ($45) on improved demand amid supply shortage.

Last month, the company had raised HRC prices by JPY 16,000/t ($145) and hot-dipped galvanised steel prices by JPY 18,000/t ($164).
