Tokyo Steel has kept its scrap purchase prices stable across most plants, effective 6 Mar’26, in its second price announcement this month. This is except for Takamatsu, where prices remained unchanged. Firm global scrap market sentiment, rising freight costs, and escalating Middle East tensions supported domestic scrap prices and kept the steelmaker’s purchase prices stable.
