Japan: Tokyo Steel hikes prices by up to JPY 10,000/t ($83/t)

Tokyo Steel, Japan’s largest EAF steelmaker has raised monthly steel prices by up to JPY 10,000/t ($83/t) for Apr’22 sales on increased cost burden amid surging raw material prices and rising steel prices globally.

• HRC prices were revised upwards by JPY 10,000/t ($83/t) to JPY 120,000/t ($997/t)
• Rebar and H-beam prices were raised by JPY 7,000/t ($58/t) each to JPY 99,000/t ($823/t) and JPY 121,000/t ($1,005/t) respectively.
