Tokyo Steel has continued to reduce its prices, with a further reduction in domestic scrap procurement prices effective from 3 Sep’24. The company has lowered prices by JPY 500/t ($3/t) at its Nagoya and Utsunomiya plants, setting them at JPY 44,500/t ($303/t) and JPY 45,000/t ($310/t). Additionally, the prices at the Tahara, Kyushu, Kansai, Takamatsu, and Okayama plants remained stable at JPY 46,000/t ($313/t).
