Japan: Steel billets exports rise nearly 20% m-o-m in Jan’23

Japan’s steel billets exports increased by 19.4% to 225,951 t in Jan’23 from 189,305 t in Dec’22, as per Customs data.
South Korea was the largest importer at 87,816 t followed by Taiwan with 78,296 t in January.
Export volumes increased by 8% y-o-y against 209,180 t in Jan’22.
