Japan: Steel billets exports fall 16%, m-o-m, in Sep’22

Japan’s steel billets exports fell 15.89% m-o-m to 185,291 t in Sep’22 from 220,288 t in Aug’22, as per Customs data.
South Korea was the largest importer with 81,179 t followed by Taiwan and Thailand with 70,265 t and 17,011 t, respectively.
Export volumes decreased by 14% y-o-y to 2.13 mnt in Jan-Sep’22 as against 2.48 mnt in the year-ago period.
