Japan: Stainless steel exports rise over 25% m-o-m in May

Japan’s stainless steel (SS) exports in May’22 stood at 56,174 t, up 26% as against 44,604 t in April’22, as per customs data maintained by SteelMint.
Exports of finished flat stainless steel were at 45,971 t and those of finished long were at 10,203 t in May.
Cumulative exports in January-May’22 were recorded at 253,590 t.
