Japan: Silico manganese imports rise 5% y-o-y in Jan-Oct’22

Japan’s silico manganese imports rose by 10% y-o-y to 228,647 t in Jan-Oct’22 compared to 217,505 t in Jan-Oct’21.
India was the largest exporter at 116,471 t, up 18% y-o-y in the period under review. Following this, were Vietnam at 52,611 t and Malaysia at 28,520 t.
The country’s silico manganese imports in Oct’22 dropped marginally by 1% m-o-m at 22,937 t as against 23,175t in Sep’22.
