Japan: Ferro silicon imports inch down by 13% m-o-m in Oct’22

Japan’s ferro silicon imports decreased by 13% m-o-m to 33,637 in Oct’22 against 38,822 t in Sep’22, as per Customs data.
China was the largest exporter at 8,374 t (a decline of 20% in import volume from last month) followed by Russia at 6,941 t and Malaysia at 7,860 t.
Japan’s cumulative imports of ferro silicon increased by 2% y-o-y to 370,703 t in Jan-Oct’22.
