Japan’s Nippon Steel Stainless (NSSC) has raised the price of 300 series cold-rolled and heavy-duty plates by JPY 15,000/t ($130/t) to JPY 156,000/t($1,353/t) for Feb’22 in response to rising nickel prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME). However, 400 series prices remain unchanged. The possibility of a JPY 15,000/t hike for the March contract is high because nickel prices are on the rise.
