Japan: Flat steel exports fall 13%, m-o-m, in Jan’22

Japan’s flat steel exports dropped 13% to 1.78 mnt in Jan’22 compared to 2.04 mnt a month ago, as per SteelMint data. Exports edged down 4% y-o-y as against 1.85 mnt in Jan’21.

South Korea, China and Thailand were the top export destinations, while the most traded products were HRC and plates and electrical steel with 1.02 mnt and 0.37 mnt, respectively.
