Japan’s ferro manganese imports saw a significant decline of 83% m-o-m to 2,346 t in Aug’22.
Weak demand due to high inventory in the domestic market led to lower imports, SteelMint notes.
India stood as the largest exporter at 1,367 t followed by Australia at 757 t and Vietnam at 123 t.
Japan’s cumulative imports of ferro manganese surged by 79% y-o-y to 72,313 t.
