Japan’s imports of secondary aluminium alloy ingots (ADC12) declined by 13% m-o-m in Mar’25 to 81559 t, as per Japan’s Ministry of Finance. Domestic demand for aluminium in the automotive sector softened, as vehicle production rose but sales of certain models using aluminium panels dropped. The production of aluminium plates used in the auto sector fell by 1% y-o-y to in March.
