Iron ore spot price edges lower on weak demand

Iron ore Fe 62% fines spot price yesterday fell by $3.35 to settle at $170.25/t CFR China on weaker demand for Feb ’21-cargoes due to lower steel margins. Market sources pointed to a shift in spot liquidity towards Mar ’21-loading cargoes and narrowing steel margins as key factors behind the rise in selling pressure.
