Iron Ore Sourcing of Standalone Pellet Plants Down 9% in Nov’16

Standalone pellet plants’ iron ore sourcing fell by 9% on monthly premises and stood at 0.69 MnT in Nov’16.

BRPL’s iron ore sourcing down by 26% in Nov’16 – BRPL reduced its iron ore sourcing by 26% M-o-M from 0.34 MnT in Oct’16 to 0.25 MnT in Nov’16. Its sourcing from KN Ram and MESCO increased last month while sourcing from KJS Ahluwalia and Rungta Mines declined in Nov’16.

BRPL remained the largest pellet exporter in Nov’16 and exported 0.23 MnT pellets to China.

Arya Iron & steel raises iron ore sourcing by 43% M-o-M – Barbil based pellet maker – Arya iron & steel sourced 0.1 MnT iron ore in Nov’16 compared to 0.07 MnT in Oct’16. The pellet manufacturer majorly procured iron ore from Rungta Mines, MESCO and KN Ram.

In Nov’16, the company exported 50,000 MT pellets to China.

OMM Adhunik raised iron ore sourcing sharply in Nov’16 – Jamshedpur based pellet maker – OMM Adhunik iron ore sourcing moved up significantly by 50% M-o-M from 0.08 MnT in Oct’16 to 0.12 MnT in Nov’16. Majority of the ore sourced was from Kaypee Enterprises followed by Rungta Mines and Indrani Patnaik.

KIOCL’s iron ore sourcing up by 19% M-o-M – KIOCL sourced 0.19 MnT iron ore in Nov’16 against 0.16 MnT in Oct’16. Its iron ore procurement from NMDC (C.G.) doubled from 25 rakes in Oct’16 to 49 rakes in Nov’16.
