In recent e-auction conducted by MSTC for iron ore in Karnataka, bids were lower by Rs 200-300/t from last bids, said local sources to SteelMint.
Last auction conducted for stock available at NMDC Donamala mines in Karnataka fetched following bids
25th Sep 2012
1. Fe 60+ Lumps at Rs 4,964/t (Basic Prices, Forest tax, royalty and taxes applicable)
2. Fe 61+ Fines at Rs 2,470/t (Basic Prices, Forest tax, royalty and taxes applicable)
5th Oct 2012
1. Fe 60+ Lumps at Rs 4,964/t (Basic Prices, Forest tax, royalty and taxes applicable)
2. Fe 61+ Fines at Rs 2,230/t (Basic Prices, Forest tax, royalty and taxes applicable).
Sources also tell that fines of Fe 63% was bought at around Rs 2,800-2,900/t in the auction conducted on 25th Sep though same grade was bid at Rs 2,600/t by the same buyer in auction held on 5th Oct.
Note: All prices ex-plot basic, 27% extra which includes forest tax, royalty and VAT.
