Iran’s domestic billet and rebar prices witnessed an uptrend after DRI prices increased on the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), sources informed SteelMint. Also, depleting stocks with re-rollers amidst logistical issues and power issues at a few mills supported the price hike.
- Steel billet prices rose sharply by 2,000 Rial/Kg to 142,500 Rial/Kg compared to 2 Feb’22.
- Rebar prices stood at 156,500 Rial/Kg on 7 Feb, a rise of 500 Rial/Kg.
