Indonesian high-CV (calorific value) thermal coal prices rose by a whopping $68/t w-o-w to $308/t FOB amid elevated global prices and tight supply from Kalimantan due to heavy rainfall. Coal demand from Europe also remained high amid sanctions on Russia. Prices for GAR 5800 kcal/kg and GAR 4200 kcal/kg coals rose sharply by $41/t and $25/t w-o-w to $221/t and $121/t respectively.
