The Indonesian Benchmark Thermal Coal Price has risen by 2.29% in July’16 from that in May’16.
The benchmark price, set by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Indonesia, has been quoted at USD 53/MT FoB for July’16.

The ministry has attributed the rise in the benchmark price for July’16 to increasing import demand in China and India, and crude oil prices going up.
However, the overall demand continues to be slow, and the benchmark price for the month is lower by more than 10% in comparison with the same month of the previous year, the ministry said.
