Indonesia: Govt to allow only compliant firms to export coal after ban ends

Even as Indonesia is set to lift the coal export ban wholly, miners in that country will be required to comply with the new regulations to restart full-fledged shipments, as per government sources. Clearance for coal firms would either require meeting DMO obligations or paying a fine. The country has a total of 600 coal mining firms and 171 companies have been allowed to resume exports so far.
