India’s copper imports were recorded at 1.10 mnt in CY’23 as against 0.90 mnt in CY’22, an increase of 22% y-o-y. Japan was the top exporter with 0.23 mnt followed by Zambia at 0.20 mnt. The highest imported commodity by volume was semi-finished products at 0.53 mnt, with most cargoes (around 0.36 mnt) arriving at the Tumb ICD in Gujarat.
