India’s coal production remains flat, m-o-m, at nearly 80 mnt in Feb’22

India’s coal production remained unchanged at 79.54 mnt in Feb’22 as against 79.6 mnt in Jan, but rose 7% on the year compared with 74.64 mnt in Feb’21. Out of total production, the contribution of Coal India Ltd. (CIL) was 64.26 mnt while Singareni Collieries Company (SCCL) produced 6.04 mnt. The remaining 9.24 mnt came from a mixed bag of captive and merchant miners.
