Ferro Manganese prices stable in India, with some traders reporting Rs. 500/t decrease. Sources confirmed to SteelMint that demand from domestic buyers has been fairly good, as most steel mills in the country have started to ramp-up production this week. Current prices of HC Ferro Manganese in Raipur stand at Rs. 52,000 (65% Mn), Rs. 53,500 (70% Mn) and Rs. 58,000 (75% Mn). In Durgapur, HC Ferro Manganese is trading at Rs. 54,500 (70% Mn). All prices mentioned are basic and per metric tonne.
In the export market Indian HC Ferro Manganese is currently being offered at the same levels of $ 1020 – 1050 /MT FOB East-coast India. Indian sellers continued to resist buyer overtures to drop prices below current levels, suggesting prices were too low for them to consider exports, amid expectations of a spurt in domestic demand in the coming days,
