Wire rod manufacturers based in Raipur and Duragpur has sharply increased offers by INR 900-1,200/MT in a week’s time inline with the increase in Billet offers.
Major price rise is recorded in Raipur by INR 1,200/MT, followed in Durgapur by INR 900/MT in the same duration.
A well know wire rod manufacture based in Raipur also reported that demand of wire rod has again picked up post-Diwali and there is major buying or enquiry coming from South India.
Currently in Durgapur, 5.5 mm wire rod and HB 12G are available at INR 25,300/MT and INR 27,300/MT respectively. Plants in Raipur are offering the same grade material at INR 27,300/MT and INR 29,300/MT respectively. These prices are basic.
Offers for 12G GI and 12G barbed wires are assessed at INR 40,500/MT and INR 42,500/MT in Raipur W-o-W. All prices are inclusive taxes.
