During the week assessment, it is seen that structure market has weakened; Small scale manufacturer are reporting price corrections of INR 300-600/MT in continuation to previous week.
Major price correction is seen in Mumbai and Ahmedabad by INR 600/MT. Elections in North India has also effected semi finished offers resulting in poor demand in finish long.
In Hyderabad prices of all heavy and light structures have also declined by INR 500/MT on account of steep decline in billet prices.
Market participant highlighted that sharp decline in secondary billet prices across major markets is the main factor of structure price corrections. Trade discounts in Raipur central India are at INR 500-700/MT.
Presently, 100×100 mm angle is being offered in Durgapur at INR 29,500/MT, Ahmedabad at INR 29,000/MT, Raipur at INR 28,000/MT and Hyderabad at INR 29,500/MT.
In the same time, 200×75 mm angle offers are evaluated in Durgapur at INR 28,500/MT, Ghaziabad at INR 32,400/MT, Ahmedabad at INR 29,200/MT, Mumbai at INR 30,500/MT and in Raipur at INR 28,000/MT.
Heavy beam 200×100 mm are assessed in Durgapur at INR 28,500/MT, Ghaziabad at INR 31,900/MT, Ahmedabad at INR 29,000/MT, Mumbai at INR 31,100/MT and in Raipur at INR 27,500/MT.
