The 10th bulk vessel of Mill scale is reported at Kandla port. According to customs data, vessel “MV Hanren” is to load 18,000 MT materials in first week of Feb’17.
In Jan’17, India recorded only one export shipment of 20,000 MT by Independent Minerals from Chennai Port to Nantong port(China).
Till Jan’17 total 0.26 MnT cargo loaded from Indian port, major shipment went to China (0.17 MnT) and Philippines (0.09 MnT).
Mill Scale export last year was affected by falling Iron ore price in International market, Iron ore price for Fe 62 grade touches the lowest mark of USD 38 CNF China on 15th Jan 2016.
With increase in iron ore prices Mill Scale export got the momentum in last few months, till Jan’17 Mill Scale export increase 17% Y-o-Y to 0.26 MnT against 0.22 MnT in FY16.
