Sponge iron (80 FeM, 100% lumps) export offers surged by $5/t this week due to higher domestic prices. Recently, about 2,000-3,000 t export deals were reported by a Kolkata based exporter at around $315/t CPT Benapole, equivalent to $330-335/t CFR Chittagong. Last week, offers for the same were at $310/t CPT Benapole, equivalent to $330/t CFR Chittagong, Bangladesh.
