Indian sponge iron export offers to Bangladesh rose by $20/t following a gain in domestic offers, as per SteelMint’s weekly assessment. The fresh offers are hovering at $360/t CPT Benapole, equivalent to $375/t CFR Chittagong, Bangladesh. As per trade sources, demand on revised offers is weak and the last deals were at $345-350/t CPT. The major Bangladeshi buyers are presently in a wait & watch mode due to a sharp surge in offers, exporters based in Eastern India said.
